“I've got to say that Photos by Asia is the best photographer! She covered my wedding day, and the photos are so beautiful and she made our day very special. I would highly recommend her. Not only was she very professional, but she made me and my husband feel very at ease, and I cannot thank her enough!”

“I can not thank Photos by Asia enough! We got married in Greece and decided quite last minute that we wanted to have a UK reception due back home to continue our celebrations with our friends and family who couldn’t make it abroad with us. The minute I reached out to Asia, I just felt complete relief that she was able to be our photographer at such short notice. Her communication was perfect, we had a phone call discussion about the plans, times etc.. she made me feel really at ease. And her secret touch is that she brings the sunshine with her! Her photos were amazing. I loved how effortless the natural shots looked of everyone. And of course the staged pics with family, friends, and our alone shoot was beautiful. and I will cherish them forever. It would have not been the same without her. I would 1000% recommend.”

“From start to finish, Asia has been fabulous. Great clear communication (even with me changing times at the last minute). She was so accommodating and I loved getting her ideas and input for some creative shots. We've had the previews through and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. Fully blown away and so looking forward to see the rest once she has time to edit. Thank you again Asia - you've captured our big day perfectly (and got hubby comfy infront of a camera which is impressive!!) xxx”

“Could not be happier with her service. She was very receptive to our input, and kept it relaxed and fun as we requested. Amazing value for money, and even our photos came on a decorative and tailored usb! Attention to detail is second to none. Thank you again for your help on our special day.”

“What can I say! Asia was a replacement from a photographer that let us down with 4 weeks to go and I am so glad we used her! Her photos both natural and staged were absolutely incredible and Still to this day 1month later we cannot stop looking at them. We got married on 10th August, Asia asked if there was anything in particular we wanted done and gave us a questionaire to fill out based on colours, who we wanted featured most, what type of photo's we were going for, to help tailor to our special day and she did this and so much more! We had group, individual and photo's as a couple and She even took us to the side to get some of us in the moment. 1000% recommend and definitely using Asia again if we need a professional photographer! Love your work! Really good priced also! Thank you! XX”

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book you?

+

It's always best to book as early as you can- popular dates (especially summer weekends) tend to go fast. Most couples book around 6-18 months ahead, but if your date's sooner, still get in touch! You never know, I might be free!

How do we secure our date?

+

Once you're happy to go ahead, I'll send over a booking form, contract, and deposit details. As soon as those are sorted, your date is officially yours!

Do you require a deposit or booking fee?

+

Yes. I ask for a small deposit to secure your date (non-refundable within 6 months of the wedding date). The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before wedding.

Do you offer payment plans?

+

Yes, I do! I know weddings can add up quickly, so I'm happy to split payments into smaller instalments at no extra cost. We'll agree on a schedule that works for you before the wedding, and just so you know, your full gallery will be delivered once the final payment has been received.

What happens after we book you?

+

Once you're booked in, that's it, you can relax knowing your date's secure! From then on, I'm here whenever you need me. Whether it's help with your timeline, ideas for photos, or just a bit of wedding advice, you can always reach out! I'm happy to chat and help along the way.

Do you travel for weddings? (and what are your travel fees?)

+

Absolutely! I'm based in South Wales but happy to travel. Travel within about 60 miles of Newport is usually included, and anything further we'll just figure out depending on where your venue is.

How would you describe your photography style?

+

My style is relaxed, natural, and full of real moments. I love the laughter, the emotion, and all the little in-between bits. I'll gently guide you when needed but mostly let things unfold naturally.

Do you do mostly candid or posed photos?

+

Mostly candid, that's where the magic is! But I always make time for a few relaxed portraits and group shots too, so you'll have a nice mix of storytelling and frame-worthy moments.

How many images will we receive?

+

There's no set limit- every wedding is different! The number of photos depends on things like how many guests you have, your locations, and what's happening throughout the day. As a rough guide, an 8-hour wedding usually results in around 600 fully edited images, all carefully chosen and polished to tell the full story of your day.

How much direction do you give on the day?

+

Just enough to make you feel comfortable. I'll step in when you need a bit of guidance but mostly hang back so you can just be yourselves. It's all about capturing you naturally, without the awkward posing.

How do you handle family group photos?

+

We'll plan these together before the day so you don't have to think about it during your wedding. I'll work through your list quickly and calmly, so it's efficient and fun - not hours of herding relatives!

Do you offer engagement shoots or pre-wedding sessions?

+

Yes! Engagement sessions are a lovely way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. It's relaxed, fun, and you get a gorgeous set of photos you can use for invites, your wedding website, or just for yourselves. Simply message me for more details!

Do you help with timeline planning for the day?

+

Definitely. I've been to lots of weddings, so I'm happy to help you figure out timings that keep things relaxed and make sure there's space for all the key moments (and a few breathers too!).

Can we share a shot list or must-have photo ideas?

+

Of course. If there are people or details you absolutely don't want to miss, just send me a list before the day. I'll make sure we tick those off, but I'll also capture all the spontaneous stuff in between.

Have you photographed at our venue before?

+

Maybe! I've shot at lots of venues across South Wales and beyond. If it's a new one for me, I'll either visit beforehand or do a bit of research to get a feel for the best light and photo spots.

How long do you usually stay on the wedding day?

+

That depends on your package, but generally a full day photography (8-10h) starts from getting ready in the morning through to the evening fun- first dance, dancing, and a few party shots. If you'd like me to stay longer, we can always add extra hours.

What happens if it rains?

+

Rain doesn't scare me! We can do beautiful indoor shots, or even get creative outside if you're up for it - sometimes those moody skies make for the best photos!

How do you handle tricky lighting or dark venues?

+

I've worked in all sorts of lighting - churches, barns, winter weddings, candlelit receptions. I bring the right gear and know how to use it, so no matter what the light's doing, you'll still get gorgeous, flattering photos.

What do you wear to weddings?

+

Smart but comfy- usually black or dark colours so I blend in and can move around easily. I want to look professional but not stand out in your photos.

How long does it take to get our photos?

+

My guaranteed time is 12 weeks, but your full gallery is usually ready within about six weeks (depending on how busy the season is). I know it's hard to wait, so I always send a few sneak peeks soon after the wedding to keep the excitement going!

Do we get both colour and black-and-white versions?

+

Yes! I deliver a mix: some images just sing in black and white, and others work best in colour. If you've got a preference, just let me know.

How will the photos be delivered?

+

You'll receive an online gallery where you can view, download, and share everything easily. Your high-resolution files are included, and if your package comes with a USB, prints, or album, those will follow soon after.

Will we get high-resolution, un-watermarked images?

+

Yes, absolutely. They're yours to keep, print, and share however you like.

Can we print the photos ourselves?

+

Definitely! You'll get print-ready files, but if you'd like help choosing a good printing lab or want me to handle professional prints or albums, I can do that too.

Do you edit all the images?

+

Yes! I hand-edit every photo you receive. I go through all the images carefully, pick the best ones, and edit them in my signature style so they look elegant and timeless.

Do you retouch skin or remove blemishes?

+

Lightly, yes. I'll tidy up small distractions or blemishes, but I like to keep things looking natural and true to the day. No heavy airbrushing here!

What's included in your packages?

+

All packages include full editing, an online gallery, high-resolution images, and travel within a set distance. Some also include a USB, album, or additional mini albums. I'll walk you through what's included so you can find the best fit for your plans.

Can we customise a package?

+

Yes! I'm flexible. If you want to tweak hours, add an album or prints, I'm happy to tailor things so it suits you perfectly.

Do you offer albums or prints?

+

I do! You can add a beautiful handmade album or fine-art prints to any package. They're a lovely way to relive the day, and they make amazing gifts too. Simply get in touch to learn more!

What happens if you're ill or can't make it?

+

Touch wood, it's never happened! But if it did, I have a network of trusted photographers I can call on, and I'd make sure you're completely covered. I also carry full backup gear so nothing stops us on the day!

Do you have backup equipment?

+

Yes, always. I bring multiple cameras, lenses, batteries, and cards, so if something fails (rarely does!), I'm ready.

How do you keep our images safe?

+

Straight after the wedding, I back everything up in several places: hard drives and cloud storage, so your images are safe and sound until delivery (and beyond).

What if we need to cancel or reschedule?

+

Life happens! If you need to reschedule, I'll do my best to move your booking to a new date. The deposit is non-refundable within 6 months from the wedding date, but if I'm free on your new date, we'll make it work!

Why should we choose you as our photographer?

+

Because I genuinely care about your story. I want you to feel relaxed, have fun, and completely trust me to capture your day beautifully. I'll be there to calm nerves, blend in, and photograph everything that matters- big and small!

What do you love most about photographing weddings?

+

1. It's the people, the emotions, and the little moments in between: the hugs, the laughter, the tears. Every wedding is so different, and I feel lucky to be the one preserving those memories for you.
2. Wedding cake.

Can we meet you before booking? (in person or video call)

+

Absolutely! I always recommend it. We can grab a coffee if you're nearby, or jump on a video call. It's the perfect chance to chat about your plans and see if we're a good fit.

Do you require a meal on the day?

+

Not at all- I never expect a meal! I always come prepared with snacks (Reese's peanut butter cups keep me going!). If your venue includes a supplier meal as part of your wedding package, I'd really appreciate a vegetarian option. But if it's something you'd have to pay extra for, I'd honestly rather you put that money towards a nice bottle of wine to enjoy when your gallery arrives!
